Ash Wednesday 2010

The CWCC is pleased to announce that the Canary Wharf Ash Wednesday Mass in 2010 will be celebrated by the Most Rev Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Westminster.

The Ash Wednesday Mass is the biggest event of the CWCC calendar and allows about 500 Canary Wharf Catholics who may have difficulty attending Masses in their own parishes to begin the season of Lent near their workplaces.

This Mass has in the past been celebrated by the Papal Nuncio, His Excellency Archbishop Faustino Sainz Muñoz and Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor. The CWCC looks forward to welcoming Archbishop Nichols to Canary Wharf.

In 2010, Ash Wednesday falls on the 17th of February; details of the venue and the registration procedure will be published closer to the date on this site.
